About The Piano Mon

Classically trained from the age of 4, Pete Vrazsity studied piano under several teachers in Denver, Colorado including local performing artist, Mark Bretz. Mark introduced Pete to Jazz, Blues and Rock N’ Roll piano and encouraged him to sit in on gigs while still in high school. He was nominated to All State Choir (Tenor) in his Junior and Senior years of high school. Pete then attended the University of Wyoming, studying under famed Russian teacher, Yelena Berlinskaya. Gaining performing experience throughout college, he was the band director for a Broadway style touring group that performed on the road 3 months out the year. At that time he also played for weddings, bands, and solo work in restaurants and lounges. Pete received his Bachelor’s in Music from The University of Wyoming in 1997.

After graduating, Pete traveled to Scandinavia and performed in several piano bars. Upon returning to the States, Pete continued playing for weddings, restaurants, lounges, bars and clubs including a high-profile Jimmy Buffett cover band. During this time he also played at the Colorado Governor’s Mansion for both Governor Romer and Treasurer Owens.

Pete received an offer to perform for Carnival Cruise Lines and he left the mainland to perform full-time. He played throughout Carnival’s fleet in their sing-a-long piano bars, lounge bands, orchestras and reggae bands. He also played cocktail/dinner music along the Lido decks as well as for wedding ceremonies. Pete entertained thousands of cruise passengers 4-5 hours day, 6 days a week for many years.

Pete returned to the mainland in 2001 and continued performing for weddings, lounges, restaurants and clubs and then toured with the Walker Williams Band and Kenny Bradberry. While in these country western bands, Pete opened for Lynard Skynard, 38 Special, Toby Keith, Keith Urban and The Charlie Daniels Band. After years of performing for thousands of people, Pete took a professional hiatus from the music industry.

Life happens and the break from performing only strengthened his love for music. Currently, Pete performs throughout Colorado once again bringing music, laughter and a bit of the islands wherever he performs.
